Conception 02 | Nina Cho

New work by the young designer Nina Cho in collaboration with the NYC design gallery Colony. Cho works primarily in glass and metal and will be exhibiting her glass vessels, tabletop bent mirrors, bent metal cardholders, and launching her new collection of multi-colored, pieced and shaped glass mirrors.
Nina Cho was born in San Francisco, raised in Seoul, Korea and is currently based in Detroit. She studied Woodworking and Furniture Design at Hong-Ik University in Seoul and later earned an MFA in 3D Design at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan. She was featured by Artsy as one of ‘5 Breakout Designers of 2015’ and in 2016 was nominated for the ‘Pure Talents Contest’ at IMM Cologne, one of the most internationally renowned competitions for young designers. @studio_ninacho
Founded and curated by Jean Lin, Colony is a community of independent furniture, lighting, textile, and object designers coming together on a New York stage to celebrate American design with an international audience. In 2019 Colony launched the ‘Conception Series’ to introduce the international design market to emerging American talent through a series of pop-up exhibits and exclusive, limited edition collections. @colonydesign
