211 Schermerhorn

211 Schermerhorn is a new condominium building on a former industrial block between Downtown Brooklyn and Boerum Hill in an area that is rapidly developing. For inspiration to create this new building, MA looked to the historic character of the brownstones of Boerum Hill, the scale of Downtown Brooklyn, and classic pre-war apartment buildings in Manhattan. The building’s large industrial-inspired windows, clean lines, and textured Danish brick, along with other rich finishes and details, give its traditional form a distinctly contemporary feeling. The building features 48 1 to 3 bedroom condominiums with a varied-width knotted oak plank floor with a matte oil finish, and carerra marble in the kitchens and bathrooms. Building amenities include a rooftop terrace with outdoor kitchen, a sophisticated resident lounge with pool table and media room, children’s playroom, fitness center, and a 24-hour attended lobby.
